Bruin Bear
Strong as a brown bear, intense as winter: a complex quadrupel, born from a base of caramelized malts and growing along a path of spices, to a dry finish that will awaken your desire for another sip from lethargy.
CHARACTERISTICS:
Style: Quadrupel — Alc. 8.6% Vol.
Malt: Pils, three different types of Caramel and Oat malt
Hops: Hall. Mittelfruh and Callista
Spices: Calabrian orange and lemon peel, nutmeg
High fermentation (with Belgian abbey yeast)
BREWER'S TIP:
"The recipe for this beer was born in a cocktail bar. Between an Old Fashioned and an Alexander. The desire to harness that heat in a spice-enriched fermentation was great."
